PTH 700 M medium-high power drum chipper for those operators looking for performance, reliability and quality.

The chippers PTH 700 M are robust and powerful machines, capable of processing large quantities of biomass (up to 80 cubic meters per hour) in a short time, producing high quality chips, which can be then destined for large power stations, gasifiers or small boilers (where a homogenous chips size is necessary).
The diameter of the chipper drum (660 mm) and the width of the feeding opening (640 mm) allow the machine to process logs with a diameter up to 500 mm.

These chippers are designed with a conical-shaped feeding opening, a feature that, combined with the upper roller that opens completely, allows even very bulky logs and branches to be processed effectively, thus increasing productivity.
The closed feeding chain brings the material to be chipped to the counter-knife, a design feature that eliminates the problem of ‘wasted material’ accumulating under the machine after each movement, thus avoiding the need to slow down the equipment for site cleaning.
The cutting system used by Pezzolato consists of a closed drum with staggered sections equipped with knives, a counter-knife, and an interchangeable calibration grid. This system guarantees the production of quality wood chips, as the closed drum allows the cutting length of the wood chips to be kept fixed and constant. The wood, under the action of the knife, is transformed into calibrated chips, which are able to pass through the calibration grid immediately after cutting.
Worth mentioning is the system with the collapsible counter-knife: this system minimizes any damage caused by the accidental introduction of foreign bodies (not biomass) into the chipper.
The large-diameter fan (1250 mm), assembled directly on the main shaft, allows a good ejection of the wood chips. The hydraulic version of the ejection system, which is optional on this family of machines, allows the rotations to be adjusted dynamically: with drier material it is possible to work at low speeds, reducing either the consumption and the dust generated during processing; with wet material, such as that produced by green maintenance operations, the revolutions can be increased, keeping the evacuation of wood chips smooth and avoiding obstructions.
