The top of the class in the Pezzolato range is a self-propelled drum chipper with an impressive production performance (up to 380 cubic meters per hour), which combines innovation and power at the service of contractors and industrial-scale woodchip producers. The technical characteristics of ALL ROAD, combined with the integrated features and devices, position this machinery at the top of its class, among the highest performing machines in the world market.

These chippers, characterized by sleek and massive lines, have been designed and configured to pass any test, even in the most extreme working conditions. They can move and operate in forests, in tight manoeuvring spaces and, at the same time, they can travel on roads and highways with a speed up to 80 km/h.
The particular design of ALLROAD combines the aesthetic style of the Italian tradition with operational and maintenance functionality: thanks to its properly protected machine body, just a few minutes of compressed air action at the end of a chipping shift is enough to remove any residual wood and dust and restore the initial conditions.
Two engines available: VOLVO PENTA TWD 1683 engine, 6 cylinders, 16 litres, 585 kW, 796 hp, 3650 Nm, and CATERPILLAR C18 engine, 6 cylinders, 18 litres, 563 kW, 755 hp, 3504 Nm (which does not require AdBlue).
The lifting and adjustable cab of ALLROAD assures the operator a position of absolute control: during work, it is positioned high up, noticeably offset from the shape of the machine, in order to allow excellent visibility over the feeding chain. Fully glazed and air-conditioned, the cab has a state-of-the-art console, futuristic and intuitive, for the best control and management of the machine, both while moving and chipping.
Despite a length of almost 10 meters and a weight of approximately 32 tonnes, ALLROAD can work on uneven soils with a mobility guaranteed by the 4-wheel drive (NOKIAN 650-65 R38), all steering, which allows three possible manoeuvres: with both axles individually, together, or with the front axle only.
At the centre of the chipper is the Palfinger Epsilon forestry crane, equipped with a 10.1 m long arm. This strategic position favours the best load distribution, avoiding excessive stress on the vehicle chassis during work.
The position and size of the 4-wheel drive, the design of the chassis, and the position of the crane have been carefully designed to assure the machine a ground clearance of 55 cm, while maintaining an exceptionally low centre of gravity, a valuable feature to ensure stability when moving over uneven soil or steep slopes.
The ALLROAD software is designed to allow the operator to move the machine around without having to interrupt the chipping, automatically switching from road to work configuration in less than 60 seconds.
The Pezzolato closed drum, well known for its reliability and maintenance-free durability, guarantees the production of quality wood chips in both small and large sizes. The drum is 1400 mm wide and has staggered sections to better distribute the machine strain, benefiting from a reduction in vibration, noise, and fuel consumption. Three different ALLROAD drums are available, depending on the customer’s production requirements: Evolution, Heavy Duty, and Heavy Duty with single/double cut configuration.
The hydraulic ejection system can rotate 270°, allowing the wood chips to be discharged even into containers or heaps positioned in front of the cabin, to its side, or behind the engine. The hydraulically driven fan with continuous variable speed allows the fan speed to be adjusted to the actual need, reducing energy consumption and the production of too fine dust and chips.
The large loading hopper is designed to process bulky material. It is equipped with a 1400 mm wide feeding chain and positioned at a height of 1050 mm from the ground, to speed up loading operations both with small piles of material and with wood collected in large stacks.
Overall, the ALLROAD is an amazingly reliable and high-performance self-propelled chipper, able to operate in any condition, processing woody biomass of any nature, without being constrained by ground conditions.
