PTH 500 M Robust drum chipper with excellent ratio productivity/wood chip quality.
The PTH 500, with its 660-millimeter-diameter drum, is ideal for sawmill waste and logs up to 40 centimeters in diameter and makes it possible to produce higher-quality wood chips to be used as fuel for home heating systems, for agritourisms, hotels, and schools, to heat nursery greenhouses, or for pellet production.
Upon request, for those customers who need the highest quality dust-free wood chips, Pezzolato can equip the PTH 500 with an evacuation belt replacing the exhaust fan.
Routine maintenance and knife replacement are extremely easy and fast thanks to the “total” lifting of the feeding roller.
These drum machines are available in two engine types; as a stationary version they can be mounted on a platform, with hydraulic feet for a self-lifting system, or on a trolley with agricultural towing or for road travel up to 80 km/h.
The machines of the PTH 500 series can be fed manually or by mechanical means, or by mixed solutions. For those users operating exclusively with manual loading, the chipper is equipped with a robust safety bar and a state-of-the-art push-button panel to ensure an intuitive and safe managing of the machine by the operator, present by the machine board.
Thanks to the large hopper, the chipper can also be fed by means of a forestry grapple: in this case the supply includes a special remote control.
A specific set-up is also available for those who use either the manual and the automatic loading mode: the machine is equipped with a safety bar and push-button panel that can be excluded when feeding with external mechanical means.
The main wear parts are specially designed to be low cost and allow easy replacement. The exhaust fan, for example, is equipped with interchangeable internal volutes and thus allows the extension of the life of the wood chip expulsion system without machine standstill.
